The 2026 Dewey County Spelling Bee was held in Vici’s Jerald Shaw Auditorium on January 12, 2026. A total of 39 students participated, representing the Leedey, Seiling, Taloga, and Vici school districts. The 2026 Dewey County Spelling Bee Champion is Samuel Holcomb, an eighth-grade student at Leedey Public Schools. The runner-up is Grady Harrel, a sixth-grade student at Vici Public Schools. The competition toward the end of the bee was extremely competitive, and the bee extended to 27 rounds! The final four participants included a speller from each school:finishing in third place is Kiowa Fisher from Seiling, and in fourth place is Charlotte Brooks from Taloga.
