The Board of Education has modified the 26-27 Calendar. This change results in NO SCHOOL on November 6th, 2026, when the HS basketball teams have been invited to play at the Paycom Arena. As a result, WE WILL BE IN SCHOOL on April 2nd, 2027. Use the link to review the information regarding the change that was sent home with Elementary students today, along with a revised calendar that reflects the change.
Elementary students with perfect and excellent attendance for the 25-26 school year were rewarded for their effort and dedication this week! Students who attended all 172 days of school (or every day they were enrolled) were Joseph Bates, Olivia Bates, Ridge Moss, Manuel Reyes, Adriel Rivas, and Miles Maestas. These students enjoyed a delicious meal at the Vici Restaurant, and we want to extend a big THANK YOU to Ms. Lekeeta Huber for taking care of us so well! Students with 1 absence or less got to take a trip to B-Mart to enjoy a fountain drink and snack of their choice! These students were Brixton Medrano, Sophie Cole, Caleb Ladd, Jaylee White, Callen Houldsworth, Jacob Edwards, and Jameson Shreeves, and Mac Maestas. We are proud of these students and their families for making school attendance a priority! Every one of these students has made their attendance a goal again this year! Great job! #viciproud

Vici Public School students, faculty and administration will participate in this year's College App Week during the week or September 14-18th, 2026. What is College App Week?
The primary goal of College App Week is to encourage more high school seniors, especially those who haven't considered attending college and those from first generation college-going families, to apply and establish relationships with colleges and universities that will hopefully lead to enrollment.
Vici Academic Counselor, Miss Watkins, has planned activities for all students. In addition to a week filled with dress-up days to spark interest in students of all levels, Vici seniors will apply to colleges of their choice during this week. Miss Watkins has also scheduled times in the coming weeks for college representatives to meet with seniors at school. Miss Watkins also has shared a great website with seniors that will allow them to take virtual tours of college campuses. Seniors can go to https://www.thecollegetour.com/ to take a virtual tour of colleges across the United States and listen to real stories from attending students.

The Vici Elementary Teacher Spotlight for September is Miss Kathryn Fenton!
Miss Fenton is in her third year of teaching 3rd Grade at VES! Her favorite holiday is Christmas, and her favorite snacks include "Popcorn, Doritos, Peanut Butter M&Ms, and Sour Patch Kids. Miss Fenton's go-to drinks are Dr. Pepper, Hazelnut Ice Latte, and Iced Peppermint Mocha.
