Vici Elementary is excited to announce that our annual Cookie Dough fundraiser starts Friday, August 23. We will be sending home all the information with your student. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Our goal is to raise $25,000 in total to support and enhance learning in classrooms and our school.

Calling all music lovers in the town of Vici!! The music boosters are trying to get up and running again. Come join us for a music booster meeting on Tuesday, August 20th at 7:00pm. Please consider coming and learning about band and choir! Hope to see everyone there.

Parent Night meetings for 1st through 6th grades have been scheduled for Thursday, August 15th at Vici Elementary. Please see the attached schedule for specific times for each grade. Also, the Music teachers will be available all evening, and Midwest Music will be renting instruments. Please make plans to stop by and meet the music teachers or rent an instrument on the 15th as well.

Our third day of professional learning as a staff was another great day! We held some committee meetings, brushed up on Google technology, worked in our classrooms, and were hosted by the Nazarene Church for another delicious meal. This meal was a combined effort of the Vici and Camp Creek Nazarene Churches, and it was absolutely wonderful! Thank you to all of those who prepared and served us today! Also, we want to say THANK YOU to Leila Peoples for her words of encouragement and tasty treats! We are blessed to live in such a great community! Happy back to school, Vici Indians!
Welcome Back! School starts TOMORROW, Thursday, August 8th! Breakfast begins at 7:45 am, the first bell rings at 8:08 and the tardy bell rings at 8:11 am. Elementary parents, be sure to come early to take some 1st day photos with the yard signs! Park on the west side of Speck street if you pan to get out of your car for photos. Plan to hug your child and wish him or her a great 1st day at the door. We can’t wait to see you!

Our staff's second day of professional learning was a great day! We began the day refreshing our CPR and first aid knowledge with our local emergency responder, Katrina Bryant. Elementary and high school staffs came together to plan for the new year, and we were treated to another delicious meal by the Vici Christian Church. Vici teachers and staff kicked off a new year with the first day of professional learning. Vici Church of the Nazarene Pastor, Mahlon Richardson, shared inspiration for a new school year and led our staff in opening the year with prayer. Special thank you to Teresa James for blessing us with homemade cinnamon rolls at the start of the day! Today, Mr. Nelson updated everyone on new policies and school procedures. We had a guest from POE who spoke to the group, drivers engaged in bus driver training, and everyone enjoyed a delicious meal hosted by the Vici United Methodist Church. Thank you to the members and youth for providing and serving a wonderful meal!

Please make our students' safety a top priority every day!
🛑The school zone speed limit is 10 MPH, and Miller and Speck Streets are ONE-WAY during the posted hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
🚌Buses unload JH & HS students at the South end of the gym and Elementary students in front of the Elementary. 🚨DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE PAST A BUS THAT IS UNLOADING WITH ITS STOP SIGN DEPLOYED.
🚗 Cars unloading or picking up students at the elementary should form a single file line, as shown in the graphic. DO NOT get out of your car if you are in the car line. You may park on the West side of Speck street if you need to leave your car. K-6 Students will be released to cars in the car line first at dismissal.
🚙 Pre-K students and their siblings will be released from the Pre-K room. Cars will drive from East to West in the Pre-K pickup line, and will exit the line and turn North out of the playground.
We are excited to see everyone, and hope this information will help keep all students safe and our arrival and dismissal processes efficient.

🆕🚨NEW THIS YEAR for 7-12! Mr. Robertson will hold a group meeting with each class at the START of the class’s enrollment times. Please arrive on time so you don’t miss the information he gives each class before you may enroll.
📋Enrollment Information for ALL STUDENTS:
✔️All students must have complete and current enrollment paperwork on file before they can enroll in courses or classes at Vici Schools.
✔️New students (including PreK & K) must provide a state-issued birth certificate, up-to-date shot record, and proof of residency in the Vici School District. Proof of Residency must be a utility bill, rental agreement, etc with the parent/guardian’s name and physical address that is dated within 30 days of enrollment. Students will not be considered “enrolled” and will not be placed in a class if these items are not provided.
✔️Incoming 7th grade students should bring their updated shot records to show they’ve received the required TDap booster.

Hello! On July 31st I will be hosting a Meet the Band Director night at the school. If you are in band or interested in being in band please come! I would love to meet all of you!
I am wanting to restart the band boosters program at Vici as well. If you are interested in being a part of the committee please come and learn about it!
Vici will be hosting their first ever Summer Band camp August 1st and 2nd. If your child is planning on being in HS band (7th-12th) please make sure that they are in attendance! (softball and baseball kids will be excused for their game) There will be a fun day Saturday August 3rd for students who attend both days of camp!

OSSAA DEAD PERIOD IS JUNE 30-JULY 7.
The summertime OSSAA dead week period is June 30 - July 7, 2024. During this time, student-athletes cannot participate in school athletic activities.
Sports/Band Physicals have been scheduled for Monday, June 24th at Seiling at 8 am. The girls’ bus will leave Vici at 7:30 am, and the boys’ bus will leave at 8:15 am.
Participants who plan to play any sport or play in the band are required to have an annual physical.
🔴 Students will need 4 forms on the day of physicals, and all need to be signed by a parent.

PARENT OPTIONS FOR OBTAINING FORMS:

2. Forms can be picked up at the table in front of Mr. Nelson’s office beginning at noon on Wednesday, June 19th.

4. Forms will also be available on June 24th at the bus, but they MUST be signed by a parent before your child leaves for physicals.
🔴Riding the bus is not required, and you may meet the buses at the Seiling Health Clinic at 8 am for girls and 8:45 for boys.
🔴 If you are unable to get a physical on the 24th, it will be the parents’ responsibility to schedule and obtain a physical for your child.
🔴 All incoming 7-12 athletes and band members MUST have a current physical on file with Mr. Robertson BEFORE they are able to practice or play.
