Due to unsafe road conditions, the Lady Indians will NOT be traveling to the Hammon Tournament this morning.
School has been cancelled for Friday, January 10th. Please be safe and enjoy your Friday snowday!
Here is the Dewey County JH Tournament bracket for next week. The tournament will be played on Jan. 13th, 16th & 18th. Vici's games on Monday are at Taloga. The girls play at 6:00 pm and the boys play at 7:00 pm. Good luck to our teams!
Here is an updated Hammon HS Tournament bracket (with updated game times) for Friday, Jan. 10th.
All of today's games in the Hammon HS Basketball Tournament have been cancelled and moved to tomorrow, Jan. 10th. All Friday's games have been moved back an hour and a half. NOW, The girls are scheduled to play at 11:30 am, and the boys will play at 8:15 pm on Friday.
At this time, we will not be traveling to Hammon for the Lady Indians' game at 10 am. Mr. Nelson will monitor the road conditions and forecast, and will make a decision about the boys' game as more information becomes available.
Next week, our JH and 6th grade students will participate in two basketball tournaments. The Dewey County Tournament will be played at Taloga and Seiling and is a JH (7-9) tournament. The 8th & Under Bi-County Tournament is at Merritt and is a 6-8th grade tournament. We wanted to avoid any confusion this might cause for our JH parents. The coaches will let JH players know which tournament they are participating in. Here is the 6-8 Tournament Bracket, and our teams will play Monday, January 13th at Merritt at 7 and 8 pm. The bus departure time will be sent out later in the week. ‼️All 6th grade students who are planning to participate in the tournament MUST have a physical and all required forms, signed and turned in to Dr. Nelson. Finley Harrel Named 2024-2025 Dewey County Spelling Bee Champion.
On Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, ten Vici students competed in the Dewey Spelling Bee. Eighth grade student, Finley Harrel, was named this year’s Champion, and the Runner-Up was a young lady from Leedey Public Schools, Jaylynn Currier. We are proud of all of our participants, and they really represented Vici well!

We are ready to welcome our students back to the 2nd semester tomorrow, January 6th, 2025! Here are events for the week of Jan. 6 through the 11th!
Don't Miss these RED & WHITE Games! On Tuesday, Jan. 7th, we will hold Red & White games for 3rd & 4th and 5th & 6th. A Red & White game is an intersquad game where the teams are split by the coaches and play each other. The 3rd & 4th girls will tip-off at 4:30 pm, and each game after that will begin at the conclusion of the game before it. This means 5th & 6th will start immediately after the 3rd & 4th boys game ends.
This is going to be an evening of fun and a great chance for elementary students to improve their skills, abilities and teamwork! Admission is FREE for EVERYONE! We will have a concession with drinks, candy and nachos! (We are looking for a few volunteers to work the concession during the 5th & 6th grade games. Please contact Dr. Nelson if you can help.) Come spend the evening at Vici Fieldhouse supporting our elementary teams!
BASKETBALL SCHEDULE CHANGE: On MONDAY, JANUARY 6TH, the 5th & 6th and JH Basketball teams will play at Shattuck. This is a change from the original schedule and replaces the games that were set for Jan. 27th. There will be no games on Jan 27th so we are able to host parent-teacher conferences that evening.
